Distri Pond Laakdal

Distripond has chosen energy-efficient LED lighting from C-Light Project Bvba for the re-lighting and re-lamping of their warehouse in Laakdal.

C-Light Project took care of the lighting study, delivery and installation of the energy efficient lighting.

In the warehouse, mercury vapor lamps with a consumption of more than 400 watts were used. However, the effective consumption of these lamps is higher than 400 watts, because the ballast also consumes energy. A further disadvantage of these lamps is that you cannot switch them on and off in quick succession and they need a certain time before they give 100% light. Furthermore, we must not forget that these lamps are extremely harmful to the environment as they contain mercury and will disappear from the market in the near future.

C-light Project bvba has chosen to replace these lamps with energy-efficient LED highbay LEDs of 150 watts, with an output of 140 Lm/Watt.

C-light project also converted some mercury vapor fixtures to use LED Corn lights. This in an area where less/ lower light quantity is required, here we switched to a 120 watt version of our LED Corn Light.

This not only saved on consumption but also ensured better light distribution than before, making the working environment safer and more pleasant for the warehouse workers.

Also, the old fluorescent fixtures were replaced by 60 watt LED Vapor Tight Fixture fixtures, again the relighting resulted in a savings of more than 50% on consumption and a clear improvement in light distribution. This pleasant light also promotes safety for people on the shop floor.
